Any reccomendations of clubs / groups which dive around the kiel / Baltic area?? am happy to drive anywhere up to 5 hours to get a good dive, so....

with Kiel you have plenty of options. I would recommend that you get into contact with Baltic Dive Center or try one of the local diveclubs like DUC Kiel (actually there are four clubs in Kiel).
Concerning diving you have some sites right at the coast of Kiel (shallow or you'll need a boat) and further south (south of the river Elbe) you'll find Kreidesee Hemmoor, which is a big chalkquarry, famous for it's nice diving.
